In a world where resource management is becoming a priority, HycoJet is establishing itself as a key solution for infrastructures wishing to reduce their water and energy consumption, while offering a quality experience to their users. Campsites in particular benefit greatly from HycoJet's innovations. Thanks to substantial savings on operating costs and ease of installation, campsites can combine profitability with respect for the environment. To explore the impact of these solutions on the sector, HycoJet Sales Director Charles Perez was interviewed by Spanish magazine Camping Profesional. He shares his experience on the successes of 2024, the outlook for 2025, and the trends shaping the future of eco-responsible camping.

Sustainability is the key to HycoJet's design. How have requests from campsites in this area evolved over the past year?

Several campsites were equipped with our products during 2024 and confirmed the simplicity of installation, but above all the significant savings for their campsite. This represents savings of between 30% and 45% on monthly bills.

By 2025, what new features can we expect in terms of design and customization?

A wall-mounted showerhead for shared bathrooms made waves and generated big savings during the peak camping season. For 4-5 star hotels and campsites, a new, more "modern" and aesthetic design will be available in 2025.

What message would you send to campsite contractors interested in integrating more sustainable solutions?

Don't hesitate to change equipment: on average, all traditional ecological showerheads consume between 6 and 8 liters, while others consume between 10 and 18 liters/minute. Hycojet has a flow rate of 4 liters/minute (measured at a pressure of 2 bars), guaranteeing the comfort and pleasure of daily showering.

From your point of view, what trends will shape the future of camping in terms of sustainability and resource efficiency?

Without a doubt, the ecological aspect of camping. Or a campsite that cares about nature and takes initiatives to reduce water and energy waste.

What challenges did you face in 2024 and how did they influence your strategy for 2025?

Campsites are not very receptive during the high season. However, we have the off-peak period between October and March to present, test and offer our products.

For 2025, we are launching the HycoPro offer, which consists of equipping one or more campsites free of charge, so that they can use our equipment during the first season/year.

HycoPro's remuneration will be based on the savings achieved by the campsite in the first year/season. In subsequent years, the savings will be passed on to the customer.

What important lessons have you learned this year that will help you continue to grow?

We must persevere and fight against wastage, because the climatic situation in certain regions is becoming alarmingly delicate. There isn't enough water to irrigate crops, supply reservoirs and so on.

What do motorhome owners think of the HycoJet's impact on their customers' experience?

We have a 2-liter/minute Hycojet version that works particularly well in situations where there's very little pressure. This is the case with vans fitted with a small shower. These vehicles are often equipped with a low-power compressor, between 1 and 1.4 bar. Our product works in these situations, and many motorhomes are equipped with our Hycojet 2l/min model.

How do you see the camping sector evolving in the years ahead in terms of sustainability and innovation?

I believe that campsites will continue to evolve as this type of vacation attracts more and more families, not only for the outdoor experience but also for economic reasons. Global warming is already here, and we hear about it almost every day in the media, as many regions of the world are already suffering from it. It is therefore possible that governments, states or provinces will take tougher action against campsites on ecological grounds, and in particular with regard to wastage of water and energy.

This positioning reflects a strategic vision that aligns with the objectives of campsites seeking to become leaders in sustainability and energy efficiency.

"Our aim is to provide innovative solutions that benefit both our customers and the planet," says Charles Perez, HycoJet Sales Director. Products like the Hyco shower demonstrate how technology can transform everyday gestures into opportunities for savings and respect for the environment.

By adopting HycoJet, campsites can not only improve their profitability, but also reinforce their image as responsible players, demonstrating that small decisions today can lead to big changes for the industry tomorrow.
